Nowadays, photography and audiovisual content are indispensable tools for any traveler. Capturing the most memorable moments of a trip has become a very common practice, and with technological advances, this has become even easier. Here’s a look at the equipment I use to photograph and create audiovisual content on my travels.
CANON R6: I use a Canon R6 with all the advantages of a mirrorless, as it allows me to have total control over the image and get high quality pictures.
LENSES: In addition to the camera, lenses are a fundamental part of photography. I always have with me a 24-70mm lens and a 50mm for portraits. These two lenses are very versatile and allow me to capture landscapes, portraits and details with ease. Sometimes I prefer to travel alone with the 50mm and zoom in with my own feet.
In case you have Canon R-line equipment, you can use the ring to connect to your EF or EF-S lenses. The quality is still maintained and has been a relief to my pocket.
TRIPOD: For solo travel and still being able to capture the best photos, a tripod is essential as it allows us to stabilize the camera and avoid blurry photos. On my trips, I always take a light one that doesn’t make my suitcase bulky and is sturdy, like this one:
BACKPACK: Essential for transporting your gear around town or carrying on your travels with some luggage. I bought this one in September 2022, and I do not regret this purchase. Very comfortable on the back as you don’t feel the weight of the equipment. Very secure and with the necessary compartments to carry the basics.
MICRO RODE WIRELESS GO II: If we want to record high-quality audio, it is necessary to use an external microphone. I use this one to record crisp and clear audio on content. It works for Smartphones and cameras without any problem.
HARD DRIVE: As a photographer, it is impossible not to move from one place to another. Our archives are like our children that we must take care of at all costs. They represent time, moments, and income. This is the best record not to worry about it.
IPHONE 13 PRO: To record vlogs and content for networks quickly and lightly, the most recommended is to use a cell phone. iPhone is compatible with the different formats of the most popular applications such as Tiktok, youtube and Instagram.
STEADY MOBILE: I use it with my mobile and it’s perfect for giving movement and an impression of cinematic clips while keeping the element in the frame, completely eliminating hand movement. The best part? It fits in my coat pockets or my summer bag.
